Unstable with its single most appealing quality, namely the fact that it is very, very funny, thanks to a crackling combination of sharp writing, lovably eccentric characters, and snappy comedic timing. Lowe plays opposite his real-life son, John Owen Lowe, in the upcoming Netflix original series. The two of them are attempting to bring some fun into a father-son relationship that is very dysfunctional. As the two play Elliot and Jackson Dragon, the lines between real life and fiction blur, and you can be sure that their rocky relationship on-screen differs from off-screen. They have appeared together in previous projects, but not in this capacity, where their relationship is the main focus of the entire Series. In Unstable, the older Lowe plays Ellis Dragon, the well-known billionaire entrepreneur of the Biotech Company. He is somewhat of a famous personality, not only in the workplace but also on the streets. Ellis has fallen to a new low because of the sudden death of his wife. He has separated himself from his son Jackson, his assistant Anna is getting sick of having to cover his tracks, his employee Malcolm still refuses to leave him alone, and the therapist hired by the business has vanished invisibly. Anna asks Jackson, who teaches flute in New York, to fly to California to get Ellis back on track and hopefully make him a more stable boss. She wants to improve the outlook of the company. Jackson is naturally reluctant, and although he and his father share a familial love, there is also a lot of tension and snark.

However, “Unstable,” which is much better than it needed to be to entice the Lowe-curious, is hard to resist. Those tuning in to watch a TV star’s real-life son laugh at his jokes will find a show with a lively sense of humor, packed with countless Jokes, and with an attractive lead performance by junior Lowe.
Who Is Making ‘Unstable’?
The Series is executive produced by Rob and John Lowe. Co-executive producers include Better Off Ted’s, Victor Fresco. It marks Fresco’s return to Netflix, where previously he served as executive producer of the horror comedy series Santa Clarita Diet, starring Drew Barrymore. The project’s creators are the two Lowes. The Lowes’ comments on various social media platforms, which went viral, gave rise to the concept for the Series. Their lighthearted banter served as the basis for the upcoming Series, which they hope will be well-received by viewers as they investigate the tangled interactions between fathers and sons.
